Formally being an electronics engineer I soon found out to have a knack for business process automation in general. I started out programming frontends for mainframe ERP systems and from there developed the drive to get to know both the technical 'guts' and the processes that must be supported. Due to this work attitude there was a natural drive towards Business Intelligence. While always keeping an eye on new developments I strongly believe my task is to provide customers with the right tools for the job, which does not necessarily mean the newest, shiniest tools in the shed. But to be able to do this, you'll still have to know what these shiny tools actually do.
