Project Service Transition Consultant (SAP/HR)

For our client in the surroundings of Amsterdam we are looking for a Project Service Transition Consultant (SAP/HR).

The client has embarked in an ambitious journey to implement and globally roll out a new SAP platform for the HR domain through a multiyear global program.

In order to ensure the standing support organizations are well prepared to receive and support this platform, a dedicated Run Readiness project team has been assembled. You will be joining this team and will be working closely with the readiness leads and the project manager, as well as with program delivery and the receiving global, regional and local business & IT counterparts.

As Project Service Transition Consultant you will focus on the complete and thorough preparation of the support organization (global, regional & local) to take on the scope of the implemented SAP Successfactors platform (including EC Payroll) as of go live. For your activities you will use the client’s methodologies for delivering IT Services and the relevant ITIL4 processes. You will also make use of a solid base of readiness best practices and materials already available with the team.

Main areas of responsibility

• Act as the liaison between the Program and the BAU service organization

• Collect & validate support requirements from global, regional and local solution & service delivery teams

• Define the future Service Model and the future Support Organization Structure and Governance

• Ensure the adoption by all BAU parties of the ITIL Service Operations processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Event, Service Fulfilment, etc. conform the standards

• Create the Service Design

• Negotiate, agree and document all deliverables with representatives of the business and IT support parties

• Deliver process training sessions and organize process dry run sessions

• Manage the Knowledge Transfer process

• Define Hypercare setup and secure endorsement by all involved parties

• Define requirements for ITSM support tooling configuration

• Support the on-boarding of internal and external support parties

• Act as a gatekeeper to assure the solution implemented and transitioned to the operations is with quality and passed agreed acceptance criteria, which you help define

• Act as team player, collaborating closely on the day-to-day tasks within a team of multiple peers, managing a shared set of Global IT Services (infra & applications)

• Act as a bridge-builder towards the local brands in the delivery of IT Services and management of related support processes

• Responsible for identification and targeting of structural improvements in the operational IT support processes, support-partner performance, and operational efficiency, during the transition period

• Ensure capability is in place, for the service that is being transitioned, to monitor and produce reporting on the performance of the operational IT processes


• Extensive experience in a similar role in the IT/Service Integration environment, preferably in a multinational matrix organization

• Good stakeholder management and influence without authority

• Good understanding of governance models within a complex organization

• Good communications skills, with the ability to interface both internally within the company, as well as with Third Party Vendors

• Tolerant of ambiguity and the flexibility to excel in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

• Comfortable with working in multi-vendor, internationally dispersed environment

• Ability to act independently with minimal supervision, work efficiently and remain calm under pressure

• Relevant degree (i.e., IT Management, Business Administration)

• Exposure to SAP Successfactors and HR process is a pre-requisite

• Comfortable with- and well-versed in IT Transition and Service Introduction activities

• Familiarity in working with IT Service Toolsets such as ServiceNow

• ITIL Certification preferred

• Professional level in English
