Rijswijk, January 31, 2019 – IT service providers Qualogy from Rijswijk and Business Data Challengers (BDC) from Abcoude will provide the continued development and management of the data warehouses and Oracle BI environment (OBIEE) of Schiphol Netherlands as of February 1st.
With the awarding of the public tender, for a period of at least three years, Qualogy and BDC will manage, improve and continue to develop the data warehouses and OBIEE environment of the airport. Innovation plays an important role in this. Schiphol is increasingly becoming a data-driven organization, with large amounts of (rough) data at her disposal. Qualogy and BDC are developing advanced applications that extract predictive behavior from data, upon which Schiphol can anticipate.
Advanced data-driven technologies will be used on smart assets & buildings, an excellent customer experience, and airport performance. With this, Qualogy and BDC want to make a palpable contribution to Schiphol’s ambition to become the preferred airport of Europe. A few spearheads within the new collaboration are the continued development of data governance and advanced analytics. In the daily operation, Qualogy and BDC will be a part of Schiphol’s Data & Analytics Center of Excellence.
Content, quality and innovation
Several IT service providers submitted a tender. The airport looked at varying criteria for the awarding. Qualogy and BDC both won the tender by, among other things, scoring excellently on content, quality, innovation, and price.
