Rijswijk, 17 January 2022 – For a two-year period, IT service provider Qualogy is to take on the municipality of Utrecht’s entire database management, with the option of six one-year extensions. The intent for long-term cooperation was expressed in the virtual kick-off on Thursday 13 January.
By granting the public tender, the management of over 80 Oracle databases is to be transferred to Qualogy from Rijswijk. In addition, the IT service provider engages partner Optimadata to manage non-Oracle Databases Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. The two providers are already working together successfully on a similar project for another municipality.

Manager Qualogy for Support Michel Schildmeijer is looking forward to a successful transition. He explains: “Qualogy for Support has extensive experience managing clients such as the municipality of Utrecht. We have the in-house knowledge necessary for a speedy and successful transition.”
Managing large-scale projects
Several service providers registered for the tender. Qualogy and Optimadata won the tender by scoring best in terms of the criteria in the programme of demands. Michel Schildmeijer: “Being granted this tender shows that Qualogy is capable of taking on large-scale projects. We are looking forward to a pleasant cooperation with the municipality of Utrecht.”
