Qualogy and SEP deliver renewed ensia tool for VNG

The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) saw improvement opportunities for the existing ENSIA tool in 2020. To this end, Qualogy and SEP joined forces. On July 5, 2021, the updated tool went live. The result: an even more user-friendly tool that is optimally aligned with practice. Qualogy and SEP are proud of this unique collaboration.
ENSIA stands for: Eenduidige Normatiek Single Information Audit and is an initiative of Dutch municipalities, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
Governments can use the new ENSIA tool to check whether they meet the requirements for information security and account for this. This is done on various standards frameworks such as DigiD, the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) and Baseline Information Security Government (BIO).
Innovative cooperation between Qualogy and SEP
For the development and realization of the improvement opportunities – including in the area of usability and in terms of management capabilities – a European tender was issued. In late 2020, it was awarded to Qualogy Applications and SEP.
Qualogy focuses on the technical development of the application, as an IT service provider with expertise in Oracle and Java. SEP is an e-learning specialist for (local) governments and has extensive experience with standards such as the BIO, ENSIA and other government-related frameworks.
Unburdened by Qualogy Caribbean
Development, testing and management were handled by Qualogy Caribbean, a Qualogy subsidiary in Suriname. The Qualogy professionals in Suriname speak the same language, are familiar with the Dutch (business) culture and work according to the highest (European) quality standards.
Result
The new ENSIA solution is even more user-friendly, intuitive and uses the latest technologies. A big plus is that the administrator can configure even easier, without vendor intervention. Qualogy remains responsible for managing the application, from Qualogy’s 2nd line maintenance team in Suriname.
