Meet The Oracle Masters: the online seriesGepubliceerd: Auteur: Team Communication Categorie: Nieuwsblog
Vanaf half september organiseert Qualogy het tweede deel van ‘Meet The Oracle Masters: the online series’.
A NEW ERA FOR APPLICATION SERVERS: WEBLOGIC AND GRAALVM - After Oracle's donation of Java EE to the open source Eclipse Foundation, Oracle is heavily investing to make its flagship WebLogic cloud neutral and ready to run more than only Java. The session will describe the first steps to transform a WebLogic platform into a more Cloud neutral platform, running GraalVM.
Jeff Pollock - Vice President Product Development bij Oracle
ORACLE GOLDEN GATE AND THE DATA MESH - Data integration technology is going through a period of rapid change. Customers are moving away from monolithic batch hub-and-spoke data processing, and towards a distributed real-time streaming architecture - called a Data Mesh or a Data Fabric. Oracle GoldenGate is at the forefront of this sea-change in the industry. This session will explain how to use GoldenGate Microservices for replication, with Apache Kafka, and the new low code streaming engine for "Continuous ETL" in a data pipeline.
Hasso Schaap - Cloud Platform & Analytics Consultant bij Qualogy
HAVING FUN WITH ENTERPRISE DATA STREAMING, CLOUD NATIVE AND ORACLE CLOUD (OCI) - Data lakes with data streaming have come a long way. There are now many options to get a Kappa or Lambda architecture set up, and over time many possible deployments have arrived. For our Dutch inland AIS monitoring (NMEA standard) and archiving vessel messages project, we went from research to demos with Kafka and Spark within 6 weeks. After another 3 weeks, we were ready for improved iteration. Data streaming and data lake processing very much allow for iterative development and deployment, but it’s even more fun when you use cloud native solutions like, for example, those from Oracle OCI. You’ll get an overview of the many versions of modern data streaming in a data lake, and why I think Oracle’s OCI toys are a lot of fun.
Sven Bernhardt - Oracle ACE Director en Chief Integration Evangelist bij OPITZ Consulting
CLOUD NATIVE INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS WITH ORACLE CLOUD - The world is hybrid! And how you build your new applications should be too. In my opinion, Cloud-native is the way, no matter the context or the problem. With respect to integration architectures, this means we need to rethink the way integration architectures should be built, using the advantages and benefits of arising technologies to tackle new challenges in the integration space, like dynamic and unpredictable workloads. The good news: Patterns stay the same. It’s only the technology that evolves. In this session, I'll go through the components of a modern integration stack based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (API Gateway, Streaming, Functions, OKE, ...) and how those components might be combined to create flexible, robust and sustainable integration solutions.
Phil Wilkins - Oracle ACE Director en Senior Consultant bij Capgemini
WHAT MAKES A GOOD API? (a look at API design and all the factors good API design should include) - When defining APIs, the most common considerations are what our payload looks like and an understanding of how our implementation works. However, good APIs - internal or public - are far more than just a payload description. They need a consumer’s perspective. In this session, we will look at what makes a good API: From the OWASP top 10 implications to ISO and data definitions. We will also discuss why these points are important, and what the implications are. Lastly, we’ll explore techniques to overcome the challenges seen when producing good APIs. While we all think we know how to define APIs, you will be surprised by what gets overlooked and which opportunities make your APIs better.
Simon Coter - Senior Manager, Oracle Linux and Virtualization Product Management bij Oracle
ORACLE LINUX KVM - Operating systems, containers, and virtualization are the fundamental building blocks of modern IT infrastructure. Oracle combines them all into one integrated offering: Oracle Linux. Operating on your choice of hardware - in your data center or in the Cloud - Oracle Linux provides the reliability, scalability, security, and performance for demanding enterprise workloads. Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager is a new server virtualization management platform that can be easily deployed to configure, monitor, and manage an Oracle Linux KVM with enterprise-grade performance and support from Oracle.
