Patrick Barel: “This congress is a great opportunity to learn from Oracle masters Steven Feuerstein and Chris Saxon. The day is especially interesting for developers who work with SQL and PL/SQL. Click here for my preview about the congress.”
Meet Oracle master Steven Feuerstein
Steven Feuerstein is the PL/SQL guru. He focuses on spreading knowledge. He wrote – aside from many other books – the standard work for PL/SQL developers: Oracle PL/SQL Programming (6th edition). Until recently, Steven travelled around the world as a speaker and trainer. Nowadays, he’s leading a team of Developer Advocates, among which Chris Saxon. Steven will be present at the congress via video connection.
Meet Oracle master Chris Saxon
Chris Saxon is a welcome guest at the Oracle events and one of the Developer Advocates from Steven’s team. Together with Conner McDonald, he runs the asktom.oracle.com (‘tom’ stands for ‘the Oracle masters’). Chris is specialized in SQL and PL/SQL. His strength: translating abstract database features to solutions for everyday problems. Chris is present the whole day, and he will give 2 presentations.
Meet Oracle master Patrick Barel
Patrick Barel has been a fulltime Oracle Developer since 1999. After studying, he took several PL/SQL courses (among others from Steven Feuerstein). Aside from his work with SQL and PL/SWL, Patrick wrote several plugins for PL/SQL Developer (www.allroundautomations.com). In 2018, Patrick received the title Oracle Ace Director for his contributions to the field of SQL and PL/SQL.
Meet Oracle Master Alex Nuijten
Alex Nuijten is specialized in Oracle database development with PL/SQL and Oracle Application Express (APEX). Besides his consultancy work, he conducts training classes, mainly in APEX, SQL and PL/SQL. Alex has been a speaker at numerous international conferences, such as ODTUG, Oracle Open World, UKOUG, IOUG, OUGF, BGOUG, nlOUG APEX World and OBUG. He wrote many articles in Oracle related magazines, and at regular intervals he writes about Oracle Application Express and Oracle database development on his blog "Notes on Oracle" (nuijten.blogspot.com). Alex is co-author of the following books “Oracle APEX Best Practices” (published by Packt Publishers) and “Real World SQL and PL/SQL” (published by Oracle Press). Because of his contributions to the Oracle community, Alex was awarded the Oracle ACE Director membership in August 2010.
