Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

Implementing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

Toby Dieduksman: Many organizations are focusing on the future of their Oracle EBS 11 environment. Should you re-implement your environment to further streamline your processes? Should you switch to Oracle EBS 12 or take the step towards Oracle Fusion? How does this influence your organization's custom software? Is your organization cloud-ready and willing to invest in the necessary knowledge?

EBS 12 or Fusion Cloud?

After implementing Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management, Oracle Fusion Financials and Oracle Fusion Procurement, many organizations can benefit from Oracle Fusion. But migrating to EBS 12 tends to be easier. This version offers interesting features like Subledger Accounting, E-Tax and Multi-Org Access Control (MOAC). Version 12.2 offers even more functionalities, such as Online Patching, Real Application Clustering (RAC) and Weblogic Server as a middleware layer between the traditional database and the application layer.

In terms of integrating between systems and EBS, we've noticed a tendency to move away from specific one-on-one solutions. Instead, organizations are opting for a service bus in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). This influences the choice between EBS and Fusion.
