Recently a consortium of Dutch aid organizations (SHO) organized the national fundraising campaign “Nederland helpt Sint-Maarten”, to collect money for disaster relief after hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean island Saint Martin. Since 1984 SHO has organized 44 national fundraising campaigns, collecting in total over 900 million euro. Which of their campaigns were the most successful? Did campaign proceeds depend on the type of disaster?
