25 years of Qualogy: Tim’s journey

It’s 2023 and Qualogy is celebrating 25 years of innovation, progress and success. An anniversary that could never be celebrated without the dedication of our colleagues. Because the success of Qualogy, is the success of our colleagues. One of those colleagues is DBA Tim Abdoelhafiezkhan. With an enthusiasm that continues to grow and a tremendous passion for IT, Tim has contributed to Qualogy’s success story for the past 23 years. In this blog, he takes you on his extraordinary journey.

Start of an adventure

In an era when technology was on the rise and digital transformation was becoming the new norm, Tim stepped on board at Qualogy 23 years ago. A young and driven professional, he immediately sensed the energy and innovative spirit that was in the air. Tim was welcomed into an environment where talent was encouraged and where he was given room to grow.

Tim began his career at Qualogy as a software developer. From day one, he was fascinated by the possibilities of technology and its impact on businesses and society. With his sharp mind and determination to be at the forefront of his field, Tim made valuable contributions to various projects. At Qualogy, Tim could fully express his passion for IT but what was decisive for his choice of Qualogy was the family bond that existed and still exists!

“When I started at Qualogy they were still small, the first thing that surprised me was the short lines and the feeling of a family business. Before that I was at an organization where it wasn’t so family-like. So that appealed to me more as well. Yes, that’s what I went for. “

“Even if there should be another recession or the market collapses, it gives confidence that Qualogy already has experience to get through it.”

The birth of partnership

As Tim grew in his role, he also began to build relationships with clients and colleagues. His ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way made him a valued consultant. He increasingly grabbed coordination when new people came into the project to guide and direct them.

In addition to the successes, Tim has also experienced turbulent times over the past 23 years, such as the 2008 recession, for example. He has seen a number of colleagues in other companies lose their jobs because they went bankrupt. Qualogy held up well and even managed to barely have people on “the spare bench.

“That’s really unbelievable actually. At a time when the whole market had pretty much collapsed. That gives confidence for the future. Even if there should be another recession or the market collapses, it gives confidence that Qualogy already has experience to get through it. Then you assume that things will just work out.”

“Make sure your knowledge is always current. You have to constantly keep learning and experimenting. “

The road to success

As the technological landscapes changed and new challenges emerged, Tim was always at the forefront of seizing the opportunities. He embraced new technologies and continued to hone his skills. Tim was not only a pioneer, but also a bridge builder who brought different teams and departments together to achieve common goals.

“What I notice is that Qualogy continues to attract talent, that we manage to attract nice people. When I meet new colleagues, I always immediately have the feeling of ‘what a nice new colleague.’ I know anyway that they’re skilled, that’s separate from it, but that they also just really fit in terms of the person.”

His tip for colleagues, both existing and future is, “Make sure your knowledge is always current. You have to continuously keep learning and experimenting. That’s very important.” On the personal front, his tip is, “I think you have to find a really good balance between your work and your relaxation. Just take your breaks in between during the day. That can include simply walking around on your break. Sometimes also just sitting down for a while to give your head a rest. Because the technical work we do does fill up your head. You’re constantly thinking about how you’re going to tackle the next problem.”

“What I notice is that Qualogy continues to attract talent, that we know how to attract nice people.”

A milestone to celebrate

Tim’s journey at Qualogy is symbolic of the opportunities that lie open when you follow your passion and continue to develop. Through dedication and determination achieve your dreams. At Qualogy, we believe our team is our greatest asset.

Tim, thank you for your dedication and valuable contribution to Qualogy. We look forward to all that the coming years will bring. Cheers to the past 25 years and everything to come!
