About the project
The Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG) identified opportunities for improvement for the existing ENSIA tool in 2020. Qualogy and SEP joined forces to address this. On 5 July 2021, the renewed tool was put into use. The result: an even more user-friendly tool that optimally connects to practice. Qualogy and SEP are proud of this unique collaboration.
ENSIA stands for: Eenduidige Normatiek Single Information Audit and is an initiative of Dutch municipalities, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
Governments can use the new ENSIA tool to check whether they meet the requirements for information security and account for this. This is done across various standards frameworks such as DigiD, the Personal Records Database (BRP) and the Baseline Information Security Government (BIO).
"Qualogy has shown that they are not only technically strong, but also truly understand what municipalities need in the field of information security."
Innovative collaboration Qualogy and SEP
For the development and realisation of the improvement opportunities – including in the areas of user-friendliness and management capabilities – a European tender was issued. At the end of 2020, this was awarded to Qualogy Applications and SEP. Qualogy focuses on the technical development of the application, as an IT service provider with expertise in Oracle and Java. SEP is an e-learning specialist for (local) governments and has extensive experience with standards such as BIO, ENSIA and other government-related frameworks.
Full service by Qualogy Caribbean
The development, testing and management were handled by Qualogy Caribbean, a branch of Qualogy in Suriname. The Qualogy professionals in Suriname speak the same language, are familiar with Dutch (business) culture and work according to the highest (European) quality standards.
Result
The new ENSIA solution is even more user-friendly, more intuitive and makes use of the latest technologies. A major advantage is that the administrator can configure even more easily, without intervention from the supplier. Qualogy remains responsible for the management of the application, from the 2nd line maintenance team of Qualogy in Suriname.
