25 years of Qualogy: Tim's journey
News

It's 2023 and Qualogy celebrates 25 years of innovation, progress and success. An anniversary that could never be celebrated without the dedication of our colleagues. Because Qualogy's success is the success of our colleagues. One of those colleagues is DBA Tim Abdoelhafiezkhan. With enthusiasm that continues to grow and an enormous passion for IT, Tim has contributed to Qualogy's success story over the past 23 years. In this blog, he takes you on his extraordinary journey.
In an era when technology was on the rise and digital transformation became the new norm, Tim joined Qualogy 23 years ago. As a young and driven professional, he immediately felt the energy and innovative spirit in the air. Tim was welcomed into an environment where talent was encouraged and where he was given the space to grow.
Tim started his career at Qualogy as a software developer. From day one, he was fascinated by the possibilities of technology and its impact on businesses and society. With his sharp mind and determination to stay ahead in his field, Tim made valuable contributions to various projects. At Qualogy, Tim could fully pursue his passion for IT, but what was decisive for his choice for Qualogy was the family bond that existed and still exists!
"When I started at Qualogy they were still small, the first thing that surprised me were the short lines and the feeling of a family business. I was previously at an organization where it wasn't so familiar. So that appealed to me more. Yes, that's what I went for."
"Even if there were another recession or the market collapses, it gives confidence that Qualogy already has experience to get through it."
The emergence of partnership
As Tim grew in his role, he also began building relationships with clients and colleagues. His ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way made him a valued advisor. He increasingly took on coordination when new people joined the project to guide and direct them.
In addition to the successes, Tim has also experienced turbulent times over the past 23 years, such as the 2008 recession. He has seen a number of colleagues in other companies lose their jobs because they went bankrupt. Qualogy remained standing strong and even managed to have hardly any people on 'the bench'.
"That's really hard to believe actually. In a period when the entire market had pretty much collapsed. That gives confidence for the future. Even if there were another recession or the market collapses, it gives confidence that Qualogy already has experience to get through it. Then you assume that it will just be fine."

"Make sure your knowledge always stays current. You must continuously keep learning and experimenting."
The road to success
As technological landscapes changed and new challenges emerged, Tim was always at the forefront to seize opportunities. He embraced new technologies and continued to sharpen his skills. Tim was not only a pioneer, but also a bridge builder who brought together different teams and departments to achieve common goals.
"What I notice is that Qualogy continues to attract talent, that we know how to attract nice people. When I meet new colleagues, I always immediately have the feeling of 'what a nice new colleague'. I know anyway that they are skilled, that's separate from it, but that they also just really fit as a person."
His tip for colleagues, both existing and future, is: "Make sure your knowledge always stays current. You must continuously keep learning and experimenting. That is very important." On a personal level, he gives as a tip: "I think you need to find a very good balance between your work and your relaxation. Just take your breaks during the day. That can also simply be a walk during the break. Sometimes also just sit for a moment to give your head rest. Because the technical work we do does fill your head. You are constantly thinking about how you are going to tackle the next problem."
