For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Test Manager.
We are looking for an IT Integrator / Test Manager with strong coordination and leadership skills to contribute to major Customer & Data programs.
As an IT Integrator you are part of the Tech community in the Netherlands and a key player in the cooperation between Business, Architecture, and IT stakeholders. You facilitate complex change and enabling cross-team success.
Role & Purpose
As a Test Manager you are responsible for E2E testing for program. You play a crucial role in bringing together business and technical teams, creating support and building an effective testing organization. You guide development and business teams in devising the test approach, drawing up acceptance criteria, and preparing test sets. You facilitate complex change and enable cross‑team success.
The overall test strategy is already defined; your role is to orchestrate and support its end‑to‑end execution across a complex multi‑system landscape. You do not execute tests yourself. You prepare everything needed for successful execution (e.g., test data, use‑case administration and setup) and coordinate teams and stakeholders to deliver.
You must have demonstrable experience designing and managing end‑to‑end test cycles of large, complex banking environments, involving multiple domains and interdependent systems (both customer facing and back-end).
What you will do & your responsibilities
Test Strategy & Execution
Develop and manage a test strategy that meets technical and organizational requirements.
Coordinate (technical) acceptance tests aimed at obtaining acceptance from the business.
Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and test evidence across the end‑to‑end landscape.
Apply and operationalize the existing test strategy; you do not need to design the strategy from scratch.
Prepare complete test conditions: create/curate test data, support use‑case administration and setup, ensure prerequisites, environments and data flows are in place.
Planning, Delivery & Risk Management
Plan, report, steer & coordinate the testing roadmap, manage dependencies, and identify and mitigate risks across teams.
Anticipate risks early and guide mitigation strategies with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
Steer the end‑to‑end testing roadmap across complex, technically difficult programs with many moving pieces and cross‑tribe alignments.
Work closely with testers during execution phases to resolve functional and technical dependencies and clarify expected behaviour.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with developers, engineers, product leads, business counterparts and management to bring quality solutions to life.
Maintain frequent contact with squad leads and other workstream leaders to monitor progress and break through blockages.
Facilitate collaboration and decision‑making across teams to remove impediments.
Act as the central orchestrator across domains to ensure handshakes, alignments and dependencies are in place; collaborate directly with manual testers and engineers to validate back‑end behaviour and data flows.
Guidance & Oversight
Ensure adherence to testing standards, architectural guidelines and best practices (including test automation and data quality controls).
Align functional, integration, performance, security and data validation testing in a coherent end‑to‑end test approach.
Support technical troubleshooting as needed (e.g., reviewing logs, network calls, back‑end flow validation) to accelerate issue identification.
Analysis & Reporting
Translate business requirements into clear acceptance criteria and comprehensive test sets.
Provide thorough test reports and quality insights tailored to different stakeholders (from detailed steering to senior management).
Within the program you will work together and align with multiple squads, program management and several colleagues across value streams.
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience
Experience working in banking environment, experience at ING is a strong preference
7+ years of experience as a IT Integrator / Test Manager in banking
Proven track record coordinating large, complex end‑to‑end test cycles involving multiple systems and dependencies.
Demonstrable knowledge of test automation, Agile methodology and building test processes at scale.
Extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams and long‑running delivery programs.
Affinity with back‑end technical testing (ex. the ability to understand logs, network calls or data flows),
Skills & Ways of Working
Strong communication skills with the ability to involve and convince different stakeholders; able to communicate from engineering to senior/executive level.
Ability to structure complex testing processes and keep an overview while managing details.

Analytical skills: can understand and solve complex problems; able to provide fact‑based insights for decision‑making.

Fluent English speaking and writing.
